WARM FUZZIES

We woke up ridiculously early this morning. Like 6am. That's crazy.
Worth it, though. John had to leave for work at 6:50, which is why we had to get up so darn early, but our flight to ATHENS wasn't until 11 or something...so we got to watch the sun rise on a BRIDGE in ROME!! For almost an HOUR!! It was cool.
Sun rose. Then we headed to the airport. Flight was great. We got food, unexpectedly, pasta and baklava YUMMM. Athens! We'd kind of picked a hostel, but we actually went and booked a couple of nights this afternoon. More "we don't know where we're staying!" liberation. Such spontaneity. Then we wandered a bit as it started to rain...no surprise there! "Wandering" actually meant "tried to take the most direct route possible to the church where Bridget's phone is", with "whoops, we got lost multiple times and accidentally ended up wandering" thrown in there quite a bit. Good news though, we found the church! Yay Google Maps!! Plus, we got some amazing Greek foods on the way. Some sort of pastry, deep-fried, with cheese in it. We've been eating super healthily on this trip...which meant that that deep-fried pastry tasted amazing :P We got more at a different bakery as a victory snack for finding Bridget's phone's church (??) and HERE IS THE WARM FUZZY FEELING TIME, they gave it to us for freeee :). It was so nice. So much nice and happiness. Awwwwwwww :DDD
Kirstyn is happy about it.

Oh, right, clarification, we didn't actually get Bridget's phone at the church. It's there. We think. They were just closed by the time we found it. We'll get it tomorrow!!
More clarification: did we ever actually mention that I left my phone at Tessa's house? Like way back in Hanover? Like, weeks ago? Well anyway, that happened. But it's here in Athens now! At a church. It's exciting. Like buried treasure.
