All we do is eat, eat, eat, no matter what...

Truth.
Today, for example, we woke up and had sandwiches, then coffee and chocolate, then sweet cinnamon bread, then gimongous sausage rolls, then also gimongous chocolate rum balls. In the span of like 4 hours. Then dinner.
More food in the past 3 days than in the past 2 weeks altogether. It's awesome :)
Besides eating, today was an awesome day of being woken up quite early by the roofers outside. It's a lovely view from the top floor of Tessa's apartment, but that means people banging on the roof at 7:50am is a great wakeup call. Bridget and I stayed in bed for about an hour thinking it was Tessa making noise, and Tessa stayed in her bed wondering what the heck we were doing in our room, until I finally got up, realized neither of us was making noise, and we all figured out it was people dancing on the scaffolding outside our window!
Then, like I said, sandwiches, then we headed off to her dad's house for the day. More food when we got there, chatted for a bit and headed out to Bremen. Really, really cute town. We went to another gorgeous church, and this one had 4 organs. Four different organs, Mark! In one part of the town, the streets were so tiny that you could touch the houses on both sides with your arms out. It was super cute.
Then back to his house, played a fantastic card game called Canasta, except it's not the Canasta I know. Bridget dominated. (Only at the end. Kirstyn dominated otherwise :P) We shall teach all of you!! Tessa's dad made chicken soup for dinner, chicken and eggs and vegetables and rice and asparagus, and apparently he's an awesome cook and it was going to taste lecker (that means delicious, look at us being all cultured and stuff)...except then it broke. The soup broke. It was really sad. So we met up with Tessa's cousin and headed out to a super cute restaurant and spent the evening in town! Tessa's cousin was awesome!! It was a really great evening! I kind of forgot I was in Germany for parts, but that just made remembering I was in Germany even better. We had an hour drive home on the autobahn, which is the funnest road ever to drive on. Great chat - it's so wonderful to talk to Tessa face-to-face :-) Now we're home and ready for another incredible day tomorrow!

Super tiny house!

  1. I like the statue of the Bremen Town Musicians (Grimm's fairy tales).
